Be on time. Be prepared. Be respectful. Be honest. Be ready to learn. Ms. Johnson’s Classroom Rules

Be on time. Do not lounge in the doorway
Be in the classroom when the bell rings Do not argue if you are tardy - go get a note

Be prepared. Leave your binder in class Always have a writing utensil
If you do not have a writing utensil, you can offer collateral in exchange for a pencil

Be respectful. Do not disrespect your peers
Do not disrespect your teacher(s) Do not use foul language or derogatory phrases or slurs Respect school property, furniture, supplies, etc.

Be honest. Remember that, in the long run, a lie is more costly than the truth Remember that your word and your actions show others your character

Be ready to learn. Come to class focused and ready to listen and ready to work Do not disrupt class or the learning of others Do not sleep in class

Beginning Class Get your binder before sitting down
Be sure you have a sharpened writing utensil Take a seat at YOUR desk Begin your daily journal

Ending Class Do not stop working until I have ended class
Complete your wrap-up for the day Put your binder on the shelf Check your desk before leaving to be sure that it is clean and all things are put away

Turning in Work Write your name and date on all assignments
points will be deducted for missing information Turn in all assignments to receive credit Check on any missing work after an absence work missed will count as a zero until completed and turned in check with me to see about any make-up work OR check my website

Miscellaneous Seating Charts
When you are put in a seating chart, calmly find your new seat and plan to stay there until a new seating chart is assigned Progress Reports When you get a progress report, look at it carefully and come to me if you see any problems or have any questions When you are in a location other than the classroom or when there is a substitute ... follow all rules act appropriately Leaving Class You are allowed to leave class only if it is an EMERGENCY (getting water does not qualify)
