Make a list of what you notice about the following sentences: It’s a little sad when the car loses its new car smell. Agenda: Short Answer Questions Answer 2 short answer questions of your choice. Be sure to use follow the model when writing your answer. Once you answer the first question bring it to me for feedback, then work on the second question. Announcement: We will have a CBA on Thursday! This is a major grade!! Warm-Up: Word Association: LAWS Write everything that comes to mind when you see/hear this word-LAWS READER RESPONSE #1: Be sure to include the title & author of your book in your response! FICTION: Take one section of dialogue from your reading today. Analyze what is said (what you learn about the plot or characters) and then analyze what is NOT said. What are these characters withholding? NONFICTION: Consider the arrangement of ideas in this text. Is it chronological? Alternating between a forward chronology and flashbacks? (If so, why so?) Does the arrangement work well for your understanding? Explain your response. Announcement: We will have a CBA on Thursday! This is a major grade!! Warm-Up: Listing Make a list of all the laws that you can think of that are beneficial to society Choose one law and write a short paragraph about why you feel this law is beneficial to society. Warm-Up: Write about the picture below. Agenda: Independent Reading Reading Conferences – I will call you to my desk to talk about your reading with you! Reader Response: Literature often uses a specific story to explain something larger about humankind. Can you see connections between the story you are reading and the characters’ conflicts, revelations, or insights that might also be true for all people? Explain your findings in detail!
