Competition Preparation
Your chapter will log at least two hours of supervised study time outside of normal school hours between districts and CDC for all members competing at the Chartered Association level.

Attend a DECA Leadership Conference
Your chapter will send representation to the Florida DECA Emerging Leaders Summit, the DECA Emerging Leaders Summit or the Ultimate DECA Power Trip in Austin, Texas.

Membership Growth Your chapter will increase last year’s student membership by 20 members for the current year.

Chapter Leadership Council
Your chapter will create and utilize class officers/representatives/senators.

Your chapter will submit four articles to the Chapter Chatter blog.

School Based Enterprise
Your chapter will operate a school based enterprise showcasing its business skills and experience. Clothing, cookies etc.

EPIC Competition Your chapter will participate in all levels of DECA competition (Districts, Florida CDC, ICDC).

Host a Community Service Event
Your chapter will host a community service outreach benefiting a non-profit cause outside of your chapter that will involve 15% of your membership.

Nominate a charity for Helping Hands
Your chapter will nominate a charity via the Florida DECA website for the Team 58 or Team 59 Helping Hands collection drives.

An EPIC Start Introduce DECA to a middle school who has never experienced it before (presentation, event, activities, etc.). This is not creating a middle school chapter but rather introducing the middle school aged students for once they are in High School.

Participate in Helping Hands
Your chapter will donate items for the Helping Hands collection drive at both the Florida DECA Emerging Leaders Summit and the Florida DECA Career Development Conference. Please see the Florida DECA website for more information as this develops. (This is a required activity for Gold level recognition).

Dollars for Scholars Your chapter will donate $1 per student member to the Florida DECA Scholarship fund. (This is a required activity for Gold level recognition)

Reaching Out Your chapter will acquire a proclamation from your local government or attend a community organization event such as the local Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis and/or Rotary.

New Perspective Your chapter will send representation to attend and explore another chapter’s DECA meeting.

Successful Beginnings
Create an introductory video about DECA to show during the first quarter of the school year. This video should incorporate the four guiding principles, the conferences, the various forms of competition, and most importantly HAVING FUN! Upload the video to the FL DECA website after sharing with your chapter and/or school.

Be a part of Team 58 Have up to two chapter members become a FL DECA social media correspondent, getting our members excited and informed about upcoming DECA events.

Stay Connected Your chapter must participate in at least five Florida DECA Leadership Council webinars. (This is a required activity for Gold level recognition.)

Create an Epic Future Your chapter will host a professional guest speaker to inform chapter members about career opportunities.

Florida Friends Your chapter will participate in a chapter bonding / networking event (not a meeting) with another chapter outside the scope of official DECA conferences.

DECA Month Your chapter must participate in 3 DECA Month activities in the month of November to promote and strengthen your chapter in your school and community.

Job Shadowing Your chapter will have at least 5% of your student membership participate in a job shadowing experience with a local business or DECA sponsor. After the job shadow, the students are required to submit an article analyzing their experience to the FL DECA Chapter Chatter.

Social Media Activity Your chapter will maintain an active chapter account on any social media platform (ig. Instagram, Twitter, Facebook .etc ) and create a minimum of one post per week.

Diamonds and Future Diamonds
Your chapter will develop a mentorship program (at least three interactions) with a middle school that offers business related courses or clubs.

Alumni Involvements Your chapter will register at least 20 alumni members OR host 3 presentations of alumni success stories (virtual, in person, or written).

Promotion of Professionalism
Your chapter leaders will create and present a lesson on professional attire and professionalism. This is to be followed by two business professional dress days. Please refer to guidelines at DECA.org for professional attire.

Professional Ethics Your chapter will host a representative from a company to discuss ethics and integrity with students.
