• What elements of a book should earn recognition for an award? • What qualities do award winning books possess? • What qualities does a good author or illustrator possess?

Black-eyed Susan and March Madness
We read two books each week while evaluating the books we will vote on a personal and class winner for that round of the tournament. Finally the students and class will choose a Champion book. Voting occurs on-line at the end of the tournament. 8 Black-Eyed Susan Books seeded Lyons Mill Elementary School
