Introductions Introduce yourself and your reason for directing the program. Engage the students and ask them to briefly introduce themselves. *Tip: Pass around a sign-in sheet to have students write down their name, major, and address so that you can follow up with them later

With over 250 options to study abroad at ASU it is a good idea to reiterate some key reasons why studying on an ASU faculty-directed program could be a good fit for a student. These include: Gain global competencies Take classes with ASU faculty Earn credit towards your degree Have a structured, pre-planned program (and courses) An ASU/College sponsors the program Build a strong connection with an ASU faculty member. ASU support in country

Where is the program located?

Location Information Use this slide to get students excited about the location of the program. Provide photos and basic details about why this site is the best fit for the program and share with students the exciting opportunities that exist in the location.

Where do we stay in (country)?

Housing Information Students always want to know where they will be living. Share photos/videos if possible, let them know if they will be sharing rooms and what the housing is near. It is also good to outline realistic expectations about differences in housing (unique rules, difference in internet access, no A/C, small spaces, etc.)

What is the academic structure of the program?

Academics Share the academic structure of the program and courses offered. Relate academic information back to the location of the program to help students become excited about studying in the location of the program. Example: Classes are at museums and during tours of the city Class is Monday – Thursday, 3-day weekends Guest lecturers from Oxford Earn 6 credits in 5 weeks

Program Itinerary / Highlights
If you have the program itinerary ready, use this opportunity to share all the exciting places and events in which your students will get to participate and see. Use photos and build up the excitement—this is the fun part of the info. session! Make sure they know that these are all included in the program fee and indicate any activities that might be optional/additional expenses.
