Azure SQL Database Always Encrypted General Availability
Encrypt data inside databases without sharing the encryption keys with the Azure SQL Database Engine. .NET Data Provider is GA. JDBC and ODBC is soon.
Two new Azure US Regions General Availability
New “West US 2” and “West Central US” regions bring Azure up to 26 GA regions and 8 Preview regions.
Azure SQL Data Warehouse General Availability
In regions where Azure Premium Storage is GA; new compute configurations for 3,000 and 6,000 DWUs for the high-demand analytics workloads.
SQL Server Stretch Database General Availability

Azure IoT Hub S3 General Availability
Azure IoT Hub S3 (others are S2, S1, and Free) addresses enterprise scenarios that lets you transmit up to 300 million messages per day.
G-Series instances for Azure Virtual Machines available in Australia East
They feature the latest Intel Xeon processor E5 v3 family (32 cores), provide more memory (448 GB), and support more local SSD storage (6,144 GB) than any current virtual machine size in any public cloud (~$9,472/mo).
