Overarching goal: Use a practitioner-driven approach to identify, investigate, and institute new science and technology to inform and advance prevention, preparedness and response activities

The overall approach is based on our “Systems Engineering” approach in which we use some of our most experienced scientist and engineers and compliment them (actually ground them – smile), with subject matter experts who have extensive operational/real world experience. And – because we have the practitioners working on the projects with the engineers and scientists, we never lose sight of the “whole system” which is the people, who then use processes and then technology.
The is core reason why our projects under the S and T KTAP Program are experiencing such great success (i.e., CIIMS).
