Welcome and thank you for coming to our information meeting tonight. My name is Erik Gohl. I am the current president of the volleyball club.
We have been very busy this offseason, making lots of changes to provide better experiences for the parents and players of our organization and none of this would have been possible without our board members.

Promote the mission of Monti JO Club at all times

Have coaches stand and be acknowledged. We do not know which age group each of them will be working with. That will be announced when teams are placed after tryouts.

4. Our Mission
Monti Club JO's main focus is to teach girls the fundamentals of volleyball while fostering a love for the game. We strive to promote team unity, skill development, healthy competitive attitudes, sportsmanship and loyalty to the players.
Athletes who are eligible to compete in our program are as follows:
Athletes who are enrolled in Monticello Schools
Athletes who attend a school or hometown which does not offer a JO program (if team has opening)
Athletes from other school districts if team has open positions. We will not over-roster for players not in our district

5. Programs & Fees 10U & 11U (4th & 5th grades) - $250
Minimum 1-2 practices per week & 3 events
12U (6th grade) - $300
Minimum 1-2 practices per week & 6 events
13U & 14U (7th & 8th grades) - $400
Minimum 1-2 practices per week & 6 events plus our club tournament
15U & 16U (9th & 10th grades) - $400
Minimum 1-2 practices per week & 7 events
17U & 18U (11th & 12th grades) - $450

NCR, North Country Region, is the governing body for Minnesota Junior Olympic volleyball. They provide insurance, training, background screening, and marketing.

12. Volunteers – We Need Your Support!
2017 End of Season survey stated program participants preferred volunteering time vs. catalog fundraising options 9:1
Concessions require volunteers per day (2 hour time slots)
Average 4 events/year
Court assistance requires volunteers per day dependent on event (2 hour time slots)
Average 2 events/year
Without volunteers to support these options, we will see an increase in program costs

13. Website & Registration Info
All registration is to be completed online. Payment plans are available. Limited funds are available for financial aid. Contact Emma Zachman for info.
Registration should be completed prior to tryouts. Your daughter will not be eligible to participate in try-outs, practices or events until registration is complete.
All players and coaches are required complete the online rules clinic prior to their first event; link available through our website. Coaches will have more information as practices begin.

Board will use Evaluator’s Ratings to anonymously place players on teams
Based on the number of players there may be an ‘A’ team and a ‘B’ team
Based on numbers it is possible that players may be asked to play up an age group
Our plan is to make A and B teams, however, equal teams may be created if evaluation scores are similar.
