In order to achieve Skype for Business hybrid, a hybrid configuration between Skype for Business on-premises and Skype for Business Online needs to be established.
It is a configuration, not a topology;
Only works with Office 365 Multitenant:
Doesn’t work between on premises and Office 365-D
Doesn’t work between service provider clouds
Exchange is either on premises, in O365 Multitenant or hybrid
Customer has single forest or multi-forest
