2 Policy Implementation Dates
Review of HLA Tables Creates an unacceptable antigen equivalency table for HLA-DPB1 Updates antigens and HLA nomenclature in all tables Implementation: Q (projected) The Board of Directors recently approved the Review of HLA Tables proposal at their December meeting. This proposal provides updates to the equivalency tables in Policy 4.10 Reference Tables of HLA Antigen Values and Split Equivalences. This proposal adds an HLA-DPB1 unacceptable antigen equivalency table, as well as updating and updates the nomenclature for all tables (e.g. HLA-A 101  HLA- A*01:01). POC/Executive Committee approved project June 2017 Continuing to examine discrepant results and refine IT solution Public Comment: Fall 2018 Update CPRA Calculation Frequencies from 2007/2008 do not include allele level antigens, or HLA-DQA1/DPB1 Evaluating solutions, including a donor count model The Committee is continuing to work on the Addressing HLA Typing Errors in DonorNet proposal. The main purpose of this project proposal BG is to investigate ways to prevent HLA typing errors – specifically transcriptional errors – in UNet. The Committee is actively discussing ways to lower the number of typing errors in UNet, and looking at ways to educate the community about how to perform HLA typing. education opportunities to provide the community with more information and guidance when performing HLA typing. This project proposal BG is projected to go out for public comment in fall 2018.
