Context and problem: Low water access, Tanzania
Rural and peri-urban setting 53% of rural population has no access to safe water Almost 50% water points are broken 9% of mortality under 5 is caused by diarrhoea Sources: Ministry of Water - Water Aid – WHO Guarantee long term sustainability and reliability of water access

Discussion, lessons learned
Slow growth/ progress: Cost efficiency Sustainability Innovative concept But we believe in the potential, combining: Professional and comfortable services Data to constantly improve Scaling to new technologies/ applications such as “water for food” Community mind set issues eg. History,location, dision to start with low premium, businness model desion-research or tesr vs sustainability- due to grants Clients are not always seeing value in paying “monthly” if the pump is not broken We need to be patient (project has many components to optimize)
