UM/ ; Having to interface to several Exchange forests and Mirapoint, currently used for students.

6. VoIP Pilot I - Cisco
One cluster – 5.1 Linx w/SIP, 4 Gateways, 2 CER’s for E911, IPCC for ACD and Unity (used only during the pilot and until Movius is installed)
Pilot consists of <300 telephones in NSIT, deploying IPCC within NSIT Client Services & Support group
Implementation over two separate data networks
Tasks – Staff & Customer training, processes, some staff and customer participation.

7. VoIP Pilot II – Aastra/Intecom
This is a hybrid approach
Installed 2 servers with XML server
50 SIP devices installed within NSIT, <12 installed
Hybrid approach will use existing enhanced ACD, E911 arrangement with XTEND and Centrigram Voic system
Administration training, installation and support is minimal
Implementation over two separate data networks
Tasks – staff & customer training, processes, some staff and customer participation.

8. IPTV – Pilot
Comcast is the cable provider in the Chicago area, faced with problems of poor service and service disconnections
NSIT never played a role in providing cable services, other than installing the coax cable.
Pilot at a residence hall consisting of 16 channels (8 local and the remaining chosen by the students) using CampusTelvideo.
Video Furnace from Alcatel is the Content Manager.
Pricing is being proposed to Housing for Fall 2008
