What is the same? What is different? Why?

3 Three- Dimensional: An image that is
shaded with many values to create the illusion of a form. Two- Dimensional: Flat image without any dimension or shading, using only line.

4 Value Scale What does the world value mean?
Try and make a connection between your warm up and this value in drawing....

10 Shading with Pencil Tips
Pay attention to the pressure on your paper. Use the side of your pencil, not tip Don’t push hard with the pencil, rather go over the same area many times for a smooth realistic look.

11 Homework Choose an image that represents you, your passions or interests in life. Choose an image that is close up, has detail and very clear values. Challenge yourself, you will be breaking the image down into small squares so don’t be afraid to pick something “hard”.

20 Grid Mural Project Each of you are going to get a square of our class grid project. It is really important that you shade your square as using the values that you see in the original image. We will put it together and hang it up as a class project in the hallway!
