2. Flywheels – VPI Programs Launched in 2004
8/10 pitch Starter Motor and Flywheel Ring Gears will be offered only
Flywheels introduced to the program will be designed such that a Starter Motor Spacer is not required.
Ring gears used in designing flywheel assemblies can be either mm (0.5625”) or mm (0.625”) thickness.
Flywheels shall be designed for both wet and dry applications and meet SAE J542 guidelines.

3. Flywheels – Current Product
8/10 pitch Starter Motor and Flywheel Ring Gears will be offered on new business opportunities.
Application Engineering will transition existing customers from 10/12 pitch to 8/10 pitch starters and flywheels. Transition period lasts from present to 2007.

5. Dipsticks
A common method of measuring effective tube length for Locking Dipstick
Releasing only Locking Dipsticks and transitioning customers over to them
Offering Oil Gauge Tube in specific lengths for the customer to select
Dipsticks will be offered without braces
Metal Tubes will be self supporting
Flexible tubes will be frame mounted and shipped wire tied to the engine, no braces.
