Teacher Specific Reporting (Restricted Site) Released 10/8/15 to District & School Admins–DONE! Will be released 10/22/15 to teachers PEERS Update with SY14-15 SPP scores: TBD PDE/PATTAN/PDE Access: TBD Public Site: TBD Questions?

13 Access to PVAAS Teacher Specific Reporting
Remind LEAs: This is CONFIDENTIAL reporting Example Situation of Concern: Including “coaches” on review of teacher reporting Bargaining Unit members? Showing summary reports if small “N” of teachers LEA decision on access to teacher reporting Which “roles” in LEA have access? Which “roles” in LEA do NOT/should NOT have access? Access should be provided via individual PVAAS account Use of account access is reflected in PVAAS “digital footprint”

14 IU Access to LEA PVAAS Reporting: While Waiting for Access….
LEAs can create an account for you WITHOUT student level access and WITHOUT access to teacher reporting This account can then be deleted when your IU Access is activated

15 PVAAS Keystone Reporting for Districts/Schools
Rules for district/school reporting are different than teacher reporting Class of 2017 and beyond: Student Enrolled in Keystone Course: Score Used Student NOT Enrolled in Keystone Course: Score Used Classes of 2015 and 2016: Student NOT Enrolled in Keystone Course: Score NOT Used This is year 3 for this business rule This business rule was established as a result of SIGNIFICANT feedback to PDE from LEAs

16 PVAAS Teacher Reporting
Composite v. Single Year/Subject/Grade

17 Composite v. Single Year/Grade/Subject
Why Colors not “Matching”? (example: Composite is Red, Each Subject is Yellow or Green) Composite includes more than one year of data Composite incudes more students Composite may include more than one subject/grade, across years Therefore, there is “more evidence” in composite than single subject/grade/course Teachers are “assumed green”, unless there is enough evidence to indicate otherwise

18 Help Menu: Composite v. Single Year/Grade/Subject

19 Current Projections to SAT
Current PVAAS projections to SAT are NOT to the “NEW” version of the SAT PVAAS SAT Projections to the “NEW” SAT will be available after ONE year/cohort of students takes the “NEW” SAT Can you use the current projections to SAT – YES! How? If “NEW” SAT is perceived to be MORE rigorous: Consider using a “higher %” of probability for reaching the specified benchmark 80% likelihood instead of 70% likelihood

20 Other Needs, Questions, or/and Discussion Items
