Toussaint L’Ouverture
Known as the “Black Napoleon” was a leader of the Haitian independence movement during the French Revolution. trained his followers in the tactics of guerrilla warfare, and by 1795. He was widely renowned for ending slavery on the island.

Simon Bolivar Was a Venezuelan military leader , who was born into wealth. After France invaded Spain in 1808, he became involved in the resistance movement and played a key role in the Spanish American fight for independence.

Helped lead the revolutions against Spanish rule in Argentina, Chile and Peru.

European influences on revolutionaries
The Age of Enlightenment is an era in which cultural and intellectual forces in Western Europe emphasized reason, analysis, and individualism rather than traditional lines of authority. Enlightenment was proved to be influential during the course of the French Revolution, which began in 1789.

Conclusion José Morelos leader of the Mexican independence movement, controlled most of Mexico southwest of Mexico City between 1812 and 1815. Toussaint L’Ouverture was widely renowned for ending slavery on the island. Simon Bolivar succeeded in uniting much of South America in a federation free from Spanish control. Because of Jose de San Martin’s War tactics he was the decisive factor in the defeat of Spanish power in South America.
