The structure of personality
Psychological core- the centre of the personality. Includes basic attitudes and values, seen as relatively permanent. Typical responses- the usual way in which we respond to situations. Our typical responses are good indicators of our psychological core, but can be effected by the social environment. Role related behaviours- depend on the circumstances we are in. This is the most changeable part of personality and may bear little relationship to the psychological core.
