3. WHAT IS DEMENTIA ?
Dementia is a syndrome due to disease of the brain ,in which there is disturbance
Of multiple higher cortical functions including memory ,thinking ,orientation ,
Comprehension ,calculation ,learning capacity ,language and judgement
Usually is of a Progressive nature
Although Dementia mainly affects older people ,it is not a normal part of ageing

4. Common Presentation of Dementia
People with dementia can present with problems in
-Cognitive Function : Confusion ,Memory ,Problem solving
-Emotional Control : Mood swings ,Personality Changes
-Behaviour : Wandering ,aggression
-Physical Health : Incontinence ,weight Loss
-Difficulties in Performing daily activities

Objective Memory Loss ;Delayed Recall
Reduction of at least one additive Cognitive Function
