Bladder cancer, with a mean somatic mutation rate of 7.68 per megabase, has one of the highest somatic mutation frequencies of any studied malignancy in TCGA, with only lung carcinoma (adenocarcinoma and squamous cell), and melanoma having higher mutation rates.
