2. Recorded Reading Review
What?
Using Windows 8 Tablets and ACER Netbooks, students record themselves reading
Why?
To improve Fluency and Expression through self and peer reflection of reading
Develop capable, confident readers
How?
Students use recording capabilities on devices (video, sound, Audacity) to record their own reading
Students then playback recording and pay particular attention to Fluency and Expression
Areas of strength and in need of attention are identified
Students re-read with the aim being to continue progress or make necessary improvements

4. Independent Digital reading
What? Differentiated Independent Reading of Digital Storybooks targeted towards students reading at levels below year level expectations Why? Windows Devices allow for reading to be catered individually for all students Interactive Reading Experience allows for learning to be catered to individual student needs How? Each Acer Netbook comes with 150+ Interactive Digital PM Levelled Readers choose text appropriate to their reading level Students read through story using interactive assistive options and then participate in interactive comprehension, vocabulary and spelling activities
