1 Poster or Podcast Sharing your ideas How to treat each other

2 Sharing your messages From watching the videos and playing the consequence wheel empathy game, you have had to think and talk about the consequences of losing a limb. Now think about how you would like to be treated in everyday situations with other people. How do you like to be treated? As a group, brainstorm the key ways that you would like to be treated by other people, and how you believe you should treat each other. As a group, decide on a set of 5 things (‘wants’) to consider when treating yourself and others. You are going to share these ‘wants’ with others in one of 2 ways, either a podcast or a poster. vrprosthetics.shu.ac.uk

3 Poster or Podcast Sharing your ideas
Posters can be a good way of sharing information. They are often found on buses, in busy town and city centres and on notice boards. Posters are smaller than billboards and are looked at mainly by people walking past them. Podcasts are like short radio shows that you listen to on the Internet. Unlike traditional radio shows that have set times and dates, podcasts can be listened to or downloaded at any time. Poster or Podcast When designing a small poster it may be best to use a portrait style. Keep your message clear, simple and to the point. Think about words and images that will catch people's attention. Brainstorm the ideas and thoughts you have on the topic you'll be talking about. Try to use as few words as possible, make things visual. Design your poster in a draft version first then find out what people think about it. Decide how long you want your podcast to be. Decide who the listeners might be – young people, adults, or the elderly. Be clear about what you want to tell the listener. Brainstorm the ideas and thoughts you have on the topic you’ll be talking about. Decide who will say it and in what style – serious, lively, sombre, chirpy. Use the story board to help you plan your podcast, step by step. Grabbing your audience’s attention. Think about what you plan to tell your audience. Will it grab their interest? Could it be life-changing for them? Is it surprising? Sharing your ideas Making Your Podcast Speak clearly into the microphone. Take your time, speak slowly. Record your podcast somewhere calm and quiet.
