Test Plans Code Test Range
Goal: Draw a horizontal/vertical straight line 6” and 12” long Test: Start the pen equidistant from each motor. Calculations for line length, and run test. Results: Pass/Fail. (Straight or bowed) Range Goal: 36”x 44” (Dead zones create a smaller workspace) Test: Move the pen sled to the four extremes, mark location, and measure. Results: Size of the possible workspace

Test Plans continued Shapes-Code Test Speed
Goal: 180 in/min-(30 in/10s)-(3 in/s) Test: Draw a straight line 30” long and measure the time it takes. Results: Pass/Fail. (fine tune the motor speed until desired speed) Shapes-Code Test Goal: Draw simple shapes (square, circle, triangle) Test: Test the code using the CNC Pen Plotter. Mark the location for each corner (change in direction) and figure out if the shape is drawn is correctly. Results: Pass/Fail (is the shape the correct shape or is it shaped differently)

Analysis Meets requirements Engineering Specifications:
Plotter plotting at a speed of 3 in/s Can draw a line 40” long without deviating (bowing) by more than ½” Accuracy of line length within ¼” Plotting workspace 36” x 44”
