2 What is InPlace? InPlace is a web-based software system that provides RMIT staff and students a single interface for managing work integrated learning (WIL) activities. InPlace is a flexible system that can be configured to meet the diverse requirements of RMIT schools and is integrated with key systems such as the Student Administration Management System (SAMS) and Vietnam SRS data.

3 Why is InPlace being implemented?
A means for more efficient, effective and measurable WIL administration across all RMIT schools. Strengthen RMIT’s reputation for industry relevant education. Improvement in graduate employment rates globally. Improvement in graduate satisfaction.

4 What does InPlace do? Allows WIL Practitioners to assign and track WIL activities undertaken by students. Connects students with program-relevant WIL opportunities. Provides reporting for management staff to view and analyse WIL activity data for planning and compliance activities. Provides one consolidated database for industry partners across RMIT.

5 What are the benefits of using InPlace?
Save time by centralising and automating many manual WIL administration tasks. Increase ability to store, find, and disseminate information to improve quantity and quality of WIL opportunities for students.
