Henry VIII was the second son of Henry VII. His mother was called Elizabeth of York. The Tudor family ruled from

3 How many wives did Henry VIII have and what were their first names?
Henry VIII had six wives! Some he divorced, and some were beheaded! Wives: 1. Catherine of Aragon 2. Anne Boleyn 3. Jane Seymour 4. Anne of Cleves 5. Kathryn Howard 6. Katherine Parr First marriage last 23 years and was annulled.

4 How many children did Henry VIII have?
Henry VIII had three children. They were Mary, Elizabeth and Edward. Edward was the son of Jane Seymour and became King at the age of 10, but it was too young to really rule. 5 Where did Henry VIII live? (He lived in several palaces!!)
Henry VIII loved to build houses and he liked to go and stay at different houses all over the country, but his main homes were: Hampton Court Palace is a royal palace in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, Greater London, and the historic county of Middlesex; it has not been inhabited by the British Royal Family since the 18th century. Still stands today. The Palace of Placentia was an English Royal Palace built by Humphrey, Duke of Gloucester in 1447, in Greenwich, on the banks of the River Thames, downstream from London. Still stands today. Nonsuch Palace was a Tudor royal palace, built by Henry VIII in Surrey, England; it stood from 1538 to 1682–3. Its ruins are in Nonsuch Park. 6 Why is he remembered? His decisions brought the Reformation to England. He was excommunicated from the church because he had his first marriage annulled (ended). He fought back and had Parliament pass an act to declare himself the head of the church, not the Pope. Some priests and popes didn’t agree to this, and were killed. This was the beginning of the Church of England, or Anglican Church. He left due to personal reasons, not religious. The Church of England stayed very much like the Catholic Church.
