What does the AVID Program mean to you? What is your motivation to be a part of AVID?

3 Vocabulary: Malleable
Part of Speech: adj. Definition: capable of being extended or shaped by hammering or by pressure from rollers Example: Aluminum is a very malleable metal.

4 Vocabulary: Bucolic Part of Speech: adj.
Definition: of, pertaining to, or suggesting idyllic rural life Example: The busy New Yorker always dreamed of a more relaxed and bucolic life in the country.

5 Vocabulary: Eloquent Part of Speech: adj.
Definition: having or exercising the power of fluent, forceful, and appropriate speech; movingly expressive Example: The eulogy he gave at his mother’s funeral was very eloquent.

6 Vocabulary: Halcyon Part of Speech: adj.
Definition: calm; peaceful; tranquil; happy; joyful; carefree Example: The old man liked to think back to the halcyon days of his youth.
