5 Q3 reminder of what you need to do
Analyse the effects of the writer’s choices of language in detail and the effect on the reader. Selects a judicious range of textual detail. Makes sophisticated and accurate use of subject terminology. Can show off a lot of your language analysis skills from this quote: -collective pronoun “we” to create sense of closeness -modal verb “may” sounds like he is scared he won’t survive and see his dad again -verb “alive” is the most persuasive part. “we may once more meet again alive”
