2. I have enscribed you on the palms of My hands (Isaiah 49:16)

3. A long, long, time ago, in Babylon, there was a king named Nebuchadnezzar.

4. One day, Nebuchadnezzar decided to make a golden idol.

5. The king wanted everyone to come worship this idol, so he sent out a command to the people of Babylon, and people of the provinces to come and praise what he had made.

6. The people gathered together as the King had commanded
The people gathered together as the King had commanded. They were commanded to worship this idol, when they heard music playing. Whoever would not worship the idol would be thrown into a fiery furnace.

7. As the king said, the people of Babylon came and worshipped the idol.

8. However, some people came to complain to king Nebuchadnezzar
...However, some people came to complain to king Nebuchadnezzar. They told him that not everyone was worshipping the idol.

9. Three boys refused to worship the idol- Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego.

10. The king was extremely angry
The king was extremely angry. He told the people who complained about the three boys, to bring Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego to him.

11. The King brought the three youth to him and he asked them: “Is it true, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego that you do not serve my Gods or worship the gold image which I have set up?

12. The king gave the three youth two options
1) Bow down to the idol when the music plays.
2) Not to worship the idol, and to be cast into a fiery furnace.
The King asked them a question: Who is the God who will deliver you from my hands?

13. The three youth answered the king boldly: “Oh Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us form the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us from your hand, oh King”

15. When the king saw this, he told all the people of Babylon that the God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego is the true God.

17. LESSONS What can we learn?
Put my faith in God. I don’t need to worry because God knows what I need.
Learn from the boldness of the three youth- they were certain that God would defend them and help them.
God saved the youth from the fiery furnace, He is easily able to help me, and will help me in my every day life.
