Status Leaders in swine science and veterinary medicine are retiring
The number of students pursuing careers in swine science and veterinary medicine is declining. The pool of appropriately educated students is declining to a level where open positions are difficult to fill.

Tactic Students will be provided with pork science and industry exposure in swine research and problem solving projects Students will be matched with projects that connect them to swine industry problems with practical significance. Advisors will guide students in developing projects relevant to the future of the US pork industry.
