July 2005 Update on joint discussions Since the Cairns meeting, there have been 4 face-to-face meetings: June 13th – Bay Area June 30th – Chicago July 15th – San Francisco July 17th – San Francisco During this period, joint conf calls have also been conducted. 12 July 2005 Status Proposals have each evolved and converged significantly since August 13, 2004 The groups are working towards a new joint proposal merging these individual proposals The groups have conducted several highly detailed technical discussions to establish how this JP can be created Tentative mechanics will be a mixture of global design guidelines and detailed draft text S.
