1. WHEN DID THEY ARRIVE TO THE IberIan peninsula?
PHOENICIANS:They arrived in the 11th century BC. GREEKS: They arrived in the 8th century BC. CARTHAGINIANS: They arrived during the 7th century BC.

2:WHY THEY ARRIVE TO THE IBERIAN PENINSULA?
PHOENICIANS: Because of trading there was an emergence of towns and cities in the southern litoral areas of western Iberia. CARTHAGINIANS: During the 6th century BC they took over the phoenician colonies. GREEKS: To trade, for instance.

3.WHERE DID THEY CAME FROM?
PHOENICIANS: They came from Asia. GREEKS: They came from Greece. CARTHAGINIANS: They came from North Africa .

4.NAME SOME IMPORTANT COLONIES IN THE IBERIAN PENINSULA .
PHOENICIANS: Their colonies were named GADIR, TARTESSOS,SEXI,MALACA. GREEKS: Their colonies were RHODE and EMPORION. CARTHAGINIANS: Their colonies were EBUSSUS and CARTHAGO NOVA.

5.What did they bring to the Iberian Peninsula?
PHOENICIANS: They brought the use of iron, potter´s wheel, olive oil and wine. GREEKS: They introduce WRITING, their poetry, their theater and their philosophy. They also brougth the idea of commerce and industry. CARTHAGINIANS: They introduced the concept of military discipline and their dancers could inspire flamenco dancing.
