Year of Young People 2018 is an opportunity to celebrate the amazing young personalities, talents, and achievers that make up Scotland. Year of Young People 2018 aims to inspire Scotland through its young people, celebrating their achievements, valuing their contribution to communities and creating new opportunities for them to shine locally, nationally and globally.

Aberdeenshire Youth Forum (AYF) Youth Shadow Management Team (YSMT) Council Strategic Leadership Team AYC consists of representatives from all the youth participation groups in Aberdeenshire including the Pupil Participation Forum, Community Youth Platforms and Specific Interest groups Aberdeenshire Council Strategic Leadership Team consists of the Directors for Education & Children’s Services, Infrastructure, Health and Social Care, Business Services and the Chief Executive. YSMT consists of AYF delegates committed to engaging with the council’s strategic leadership Team

Purpose: To provide a space for young people to have their views heard and acted upon Platforms meet regularly in their own areas. Their main priorities are: Alford: Mental Health issues and Transport Huntly: In development Aboyne: Pop up community café and breaking down stereotypes Banchory: Skatepark
