4. Scheduling Classes Algebra I Requirements:
In order to go straight in Algebra I, the student must have scored a Proficiency Level 4 or 5 on 8th grade math state test.
-Proficiency Level 4: Represents solid academic performance and mastery of the knowledge and skills required for success in the grade or content area.
-Proficiency Level 5: Represents performance beyond what is required to be successful in the grade or content area
If students do not score within this range, they will be required to take Foundations of Algebra first semester, then Algebra I second semester.

5. Scheduling Classes Biology I Requirements:
In order to go straight in Biology I, the student must have scored in the mid to high proficiency level.
-This test format has changed this year, so the exact score has not been determined at the moment.
If students do not score within this range, they will be required to take Foundations of Biology first semester, then Biology I second semester.

6. Scheduling Classes -Minute Meetings!
- Next Monday, February 5th, we will have an assembly with all 8th grade students to go over endorsements and 9th grade course list. They will receive a Course request sheet for parents to sign.
-We will sit down individually with each student February 7-9th to go over the course request sheet. Based off their needs and interests, we will create their tentative schedule for the next school year.
-Keep in mind course/class requests are not always guaranteed!
-Schedules will not be handed out until after registration for next school year.
