Objectives Students will be able to: Graph exponential functions using transformations. Identify the domain, range, and y-intercept of an exponential function. Identify the common ratio (b) and initial value (a) of y = a(b)x from a given context.

The Exponential Function: a function where the variable is in the exponent.

3 b is the common ratio & a is the initial value If b > 1, then f(x) increases, called Growth If b < 1, then f(x) decreases, called Decay
