2. Grant Opportunity
Region 3 has been selected to be one of 10 region centers in the state to be a recipient of a grant to implement Restorative Discipline on our campuses.
Campuses who choose to take advantage of this grant will receive in- depth training at Region 3 by the University of Texas Restorative Discipline Initiative.
This offer includes a 2-day administrative overview and a 5-day training session for campus discipline coordinator(s) and follow up through the implementation year at no cost to the district.

3. What is the Goal of Restorative Discipline?
The goal of Restorative Discipline is to change the school climate rather than merely respond to student behavior.

4. What is Restorative Discipline?
Restorative discipline is:
a prevention-oriented approach that fosters consensus-based decisions to resolve school conflict such as bullying, truancy and disruptive behavior
a relational approach to building school climate that promotes
belonging over exclusion
social engagement over control
meaningful accountability over punishment
