Georgia’s Enrollment Statewide Total Enrollment: 1,744,029
Statewide SWD Enrollment: 192,536 Based on October 2014 FTE Student Enrollment Based on October 2014 FTE Disability Enrollment 11.0% SWD Enrollment Summary of Proposal (100 words or less): During this general session, participants with obtain follow up information to support the implementation of Student Success: Imagine the Possibilities. Georgia has prioritized improved graduation rates for Students with Disabilities and identified 50 school districts that will receive Intensive Technical Assistance. With aligned state and regional systems, improved student success is the only option. 9/22/2018

8,202 (64.1%) of SWD exited with a General Education Diploma 3,546 of SWD exited by dropping out 1,057 of SWD exited with a Certificate of Attendance Note – The Annual Event Graduation Data includes dropouts, diplomas, and certificates. Total Count of Students Disciplined – 265,841 Total Count of Discipline Incidents – 692,058 Percent of State Enrollment Involved in Discipline Incidents – 14.66% More students were disciplined than enrolled in special education. Georgia’s climate issues are bigger than special education. Based on SR2015 Discipline Totals System and State Level 1,812,909 total count of students enrolled at any time during the year 9/22/2018
