Glaciers: In 2007 Glacial Earthquakes returned to Helheim Glacier in SE Greenland after being absent in summer 2006 (M. Nettles, Fall 2007 AGU) Helheim had re-advanced and slowed in 2006 (Howat et al. Science, 2007) Jakobshavns Isbrae in W Greenland has not yet retreated from it’s winter re-advance this year (2008); this retreat had already started by now in 2006 and (Colder winter this year?)
