Objectives TSW analyze how globalization has
altered cultures of select societies including industrial and third world societies. TSW analyze how nations are economically interdependent and the advantages and disadvantages of this interdependence.

following topic: **Should the U.S. close its borders to globalization? Argue for or against this idea. Use evidence to back up your argument. **If we did close our borders, predict what impact this would have on you personally.

Which one is NOT included in the definition of
globalization? Your shirt’s tag says “made in China”. An American computer company hires workers in India to handle technical support calls. Al Qaeda, a terrorist group based in the Middle East, flew jets into the U.S. World Trade Center. Illegal immigrants cross from Mexico to the U.S. looking for jobs and opportunity. All of these fit the definition C and D only

Increased freedom Wider variety of goods and services Low prices Better jobs for developing countries More access to medicines, education, information, and technology.

Disadvantages of Globalization
Loss of jobs Environmental Damage -pollution –invasive species Terrorism Illegal Drug Sales Less cultural diversity Spread of Aids and other diseases.
