Where do they go after KS4?
Move to Grammar: Achieving grade 6+ at GCSE Recommended for academic courses (ie. A Levels) University pathway Move to North Kent College: Looking for vocational/trade related courses More suited to college context Traineeship or apprentice pathway Stay at NTC: Middle attainers at KS4 Looking for a mix of vocational and academic Possible university/higher level apprenticeship Move to employment with training: Ready to move into a work environment Traineeship or apprenticeship pathway

How does the IBCP work? Two IB’s Diploma courses
Maths Studies IT in Global Society Film Literature and Performance Career-related studies courses usually two vocational programmes The IB approaches to teaching and learning are also embedded in the delivery of these courses The IBCP Core

How does the core fit in? All elements of the core are offered concurrently throughout the course and are made up of: Personal and Professional Studies Service Learning Reflective Project this is the only element of the core which is examined Language Development

What opportunities has it created?
Improving aspirations and International Mindedness: Depravation of aspiration Relatively insula community Typical destinations to low paid/low skilled work Links to career related sectors: Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) Royal Opera House Bridge and the Arts Award KM EDGE Engineering, Science and Technology (CCCU) 4th highest district in Kent using Index of Multiple Deprivation (2015) 5th highest district in Kent for Child Poverty across the South East (2014) 4th highest district for unemployment in Kent (2017) Weekly earnings are about the national average (but below SE average) 6th highest district for NEET/unsustained destinations post KS5
