eCIP Enhancements

Specialist Role For schools in improvement or those who have elected to have improvement specialist role, you must assign that role to someone before it is part of the approval process. The only rights this role has is for approval or non-approval. It will not be part of the approval process unless the role is assigned to at least one account in the LEA.

Specialist Role – Each school will now have the option of giving a user in their school system the role of Specialist. Anytime this role is active in the school system, the application will have to get approved by this user before moving to Federal Programs Approved.

PART III Enhancement added when the school does not have EL students in their student population. Section III – Underneath the section III header you will now find a checkbox label “Section 3 is not required by this organization”. Checking this box will allow section III to pass validation without adding any goals. Also, checking the box will add an yellow checkmark next to the section number.

eCIP Document Library Document Library – Each school will now have their own document library. This will allow users to upload Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF documents to the site. The link is located on the left hand navigation window.

Add Folder Click the add folder button to add a new folder. Enter the folder name and click “Add Folder” Every school will have their own document library. To access the doc lib you must have a user account associated with that school or have district administrator role. Microsoft Documents and/or PDF files can be uploaded.

Add New Document Click the add document button to add a new document.

Upload New Document Type in a document name and browse for the document you wish to upload. Click Upload.

User Accounts Can be established through a couple of options User request sent to District Administrator via (does not automatically create an account) District Administrator assignment In both instances, the district administrator will have to input information for each user request/assignment *Do NOT create multiple accounts for the same person, but DO add multiple roles for the same person’s account if needed.

School Code If there are multiple school codes because of reconfiguration or school closings, be sure your school data entry users know which school code to use.

Plan Type During Open Plan Dates be sure that your schools are accessing the correct plan type.

Delete Function Delete Button-If you have created a goal, strategy, or action step that you are not happy with DO NOT delete information in test boxes. Use the delete button. If you delete text box information, the program removes the delete button, b/c it thinks there is nothing entered to delete.
