1 World War I Flip Chart - Basic Requirements
Take out your World War I Flip Chart Take out a scrap piece of paper so you can write down where you need to add or change items

2 ALL PAGES There must be COLOR on each page
Every page must be neat and organized – EASY TO READ! Make sure you elaborate on as many details as possible

3 Timeline Years must be labeled on the line
Must have ALL 15 events from in-classroom timeline Need to have a date AND description next to each item on your timeline (i.e. June 28, 1914: Assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand & his wife, Sophie)

4 Alliances Must have both the Triple Entente and the Triple Alliance Need to include the Allied Powers and Central Powers

5 Causes of the War You need to include a 1-2 sentence summary of how each M-A-I-N caused World War I (not their definitions) You also need to include the who, what, where, when, and WHY the assassination is the "spark" that starts the war.

6 Geography of the War Label countries of: Germany, France, Belgium, Russia, Great Britain, Italy, Ottoman Empire and Austria- Hungary Color the alliances on your map and create a key of which color represents which alliance Include on your map both the Eastern and Western Fronts Under your map (or anywhere on the page), include three specific facts about EACH front (six total facts).

7 Trench Warfare Specific definition trench warfare
Need to include five specific facts about trench warfare A description of "no man's land“ A drawing/diagram of the trenches including the layers of the trenches, “no man’s land”, and the enemy trench

8 “Your Choice” Page

9 End of War You must include FIVE facts about the end of the war (America entry into war, Russia leaving war, when does it officially end) FIVE facts about the Treaty of Versailles (include when it was created, by who, and the punishments that Germany faced) One of your details must be the official end date (and time) of the war Cause & Effect Chart with at least FOUR causes and FOUR effects of the war
