1 Using Protopage in Your Classroom
Presented by Tina Maxwell Tech Camp For Teachers at Berrien RESA August 26, 2009

2 What is a Protopage? A Protopage is your own personal page, which you can access from any computer or mobile phone. Use it to read your own selection of news and blogs, keep bookmarks, to-do lists, sticky notes, and much more . There are thousands of different widgets that you can add to your page. You can add sticky notes on your page. To edit the text, simply click inside the widget and start typing. You can also add to-do lists, calendars, photos, and much more.

3 What Can You do on Protopage?
You can organize your widgets under different tabs. You can choose your own selection of news from thousands of sources. If you see an orange 'RSS' icon in your web browser when you visit a web site, it means you can subscribe to it with Protopage. Access your page from most phones, including the iPhone, Blackberry, Nokia, Samsung, Siemens, Palm, LG, Motorola, Sony Ericsson and Windows Mobile. Click the 'Colors/Settings' button to customize your page with your own choice of colors and wallpaper. Hover over the search area in the top right of your page to quickly search hundreds of popular search engines.

4 Why Would You Use Protopage?
To organize monthly meetings To organize a class by month, week, day, or session To use as a prototype while you create your web page To collaborate with colleagues To choreograph classroom instruction with digital media To organize online links of personal interest
