Amazon makes up a higher percentage of the total US ebook market than the oft-cited 65% figure: when indie books without ISBNs are included in the statistics, Amazon accounts for 74% of all US ebook purchases and 71% of all US consumer dollars spent on ebooks. 80% of eBooks sold worldwide are on Kindle or viewed through a Kindle app. The true US ebook market, which includes non-ISBN sales, is at least 50% larger than ISBN-limited market statistics from Nielsen and Bowker are estimating.

Do you have a story to tell? (fiction or nonfiction) What is the story of your life? (memoir or autobiography)

12 What is a Kindle book? Page count is equal to the level of interest in the information. (woman’s skirt metaphor) People expect a bit more than a 5-page report for the money if you are calling it a book. (Suggest 15-20K word count.)

29 Use Google Keyword Planner Tool to pick an effective title
Upload a chapter of your book as an URL to to define your keywords. Search out your competitors keywords and tags. (Right click > Select “View Source”) Use the “Type Ahead” feature on Amazon to pick high volume search queries for title ideas and keywords / keyword phrases.

(Sweet spot = $2.99 to 3.99) [.99 = New FREE?] Pricing is not so much determined by the quantity of words as the quality of the information Keep in mind that a larger book may be broken down into several smaller books.
