Continuously collaborate with team about research to make sure your perspective helps answer team question Find a variety of resources. Be sure a majority are from peer-reviewed sources like journals. Sources must be relevant and credible. Reports must answer “So what?”

6 After source evaluation…
Consider most important perspectives that should be shared with your group Report function is to provide analysis of research on a particular area of the problem or issue Work must be entirely your own Make sure your name, school and teacher name are out of report

7 The report Id area of investigation and explain its relationship to group issue Summarize, explain, analyze, and evaluate the main ideas and line of reasoning Evaluate credibility and relevance of your evidence Identify, compare, and interpret different perspectives of the problem Cite all sources consistently and correctly Use academic language/tone and proper grammar

8 Team collaboration Read each other’s reports
Teach your research to other members so oral defense will be successful Create a group understanding from individual findings Consider potential solutions to team problem. Conduct additional research as needed. Evaluate and propose a realistic solution and limitations Develop argument to support solution

9 TMP Your team will develop a presentation with a convincing argument for your team solution. You need evidence, show other perspectives, and show limitations/ implications of your solution. DO NOT just make a presentation of a summary each of your papers! 8-10 minutes. There is no minimum but anything said after 10 minutes will NOT be graded. Oral defense is not part of the time limit. Each member will be asked a question

10 Presentations Present evidence-based argument for their resolution
Include objections, implications, and limitations of competing perspectives. Use media effectively. Any picture or table must enhance presentation not just make slides pretty. Engage the audience. What you say and how you say it matters. Equal participation
