SITUATION
When the GoFormz team began building the core of its mobile forms product in 2008, all of its server infrastructure had to be managed internally. GoFormz needed to focus on the development of its product, but it was spending time maintaining servers instead of creating new features. Scaling the databases in its multi-tenant product was of particular concern. GoFormz needed a solution that would allow it to concentrate on development.

SOLUTION
GoFormz chose Microsoft Azure because it allowed GoFormz to delegate a large portion of its infrastructure maintenance. The managed Azure SQL databases were the perfect solution for its multi-tenancy needs. Azure was also the only platform that supported .NET applications without the hassle of maintaining VMs. The addition of Web Apps to Azure has made auto-scaling easy and affordable. In addition to the Azure SQL and Web Apps, GoFormz also utilizes Service Bus, Azure Active Directory, Key Vault, Scheduler, Application Insights, and other key Azure features.
