Location-based service using Advanced-GPS battery in mobile handset Trialing with people with dementia or learning difficulties offering 4 services (1) proximity services, (2) zone of safety setting and tracking, (3) giving directions and (4) well-being checks Devices: Trackers, Mobile phones with location capabilities (final users), Internet (carers) using PCs, PDAs and Smart-phones. Global system architecture uses Call Centre, GPS system, Cell-ID system, Mobile network, Internet and PSTN. Sub-systems: LBS middleware, applications server, internal and external databases and location system
