10 What will your class be? Sychronous: Asychronous:
Students and instructors are online at the same time. Lectures, discussions, and presentations occur at a specific time; students must be online at that specific hour in order to participate. Asychronous: Instructors provide materials, lectures, tests, and assignments that can be accessed at any time. Students may be given a timeframe – during which they need to connect, but overall, students are free to contribute whenever they choose.

Each student has a computer or other communication device You create a class website to manage class activities and communication.(LMS) You create a class blog for class discussion. You create a Wiki for real-time class activities. Each student has a wireless mic to ensure clarity in teacher interaction. You use a Smart Board for in-class collaborations. You subscribe to Teacher Tube for online media presentations.

15 A Case Study SLCC, as a member of the State Energy Sector Partnership, oversees the implementation, training and placement programs to ensure a skilled talent pipeline for energy efficiency and renewable energy industries. Partnership includes Governor’s Office of Economic Development, Division of Workforce Services, Utah System of Higher Education, Utah College of Applied Technology, Utah Department of Natural Resources, Private Sector Partners. State Training Teams and Regional Teams

Activities are delivered through enhanced Energy Academy One-Stops and through hybrid or blended training models. Training programs have multiple entry points, offer stackable credentials, apprenticeship, certifications. A comprehensive data management system tracks and manages all program enrollees and generates reports.
