Jesus among the lampstands
Vision of Jesus is present tense “Son of Man” = He is Lord of the church Among = His presence is in the church Galatians 2:20- I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.

His robe = High Priest He intercedes for the church

Hebrews 4:14-16 14 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. 16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

His robe = High Priest He intercedes for the church His head and hair- Age/wisdom Purity, holiness He purifies the church Isaiah 1:18 “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.”

His eyes- searching, penetrating sight, accurate vision Hebrews 4:13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

His feet- Bronze throughout Scripture typifies judgement Feet of the king typifies authority He judges the church

His voice- Force, strength, and sheer volume He commands/ instructs/ speaks to the church In His right hand- Right hand = power, authority, honor He controls the church

From His mouth- Conquering King, warrior, and judge Double-edged sword- Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double- edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
