The Multimeter There are 3 parts to a multimeter: Display
Selection Knob Allows you to read different things like current (mA), voltage (V) & resistance (Ω) Ports One is COM (or COMMON) and is always connected to the “-” or a circuit The others are for measuring different things

We are using Direct Current (DC) in a circuit
We are using Direct Current (DC) in a circuit. This means that the electrons are flowing in one direction only. Set the multimeter to 200m under DCA. The ‘A’ represents Amperes or CURRENT. 2 represents 2 Amps of current. Or 2000 milliAmps (m).

DO NOT CHANGE THE SETTING to be TOO LOW
DO NOT CHANGE THE SETTING to be TOO LOW. THIS WILL BLOW A FUSE IN THE MULTIMETER and BREAK IT. DO NOT DIRECTLY TEST THE BATTERY WITHOUT A LOAD! THE SAME WILL HAPPEN!

The multimeter needs to be set up in SERIES in the circuit.
