Newcastle university ANTI-DOPING University accreditation
UKAD’s Accreditation Programme offers universities, colleges and schools the opportunity to act as a standard-bearer for clean sport by providing students with essential anti-doping education and a clean sporting environment in which to train and compete. Schools, colleges and universities play a crucial role within the sporting landscape by promoting sport as part of a healthy balanced lifestyle and providing a platform for sporting development and achievement within the next generation of young athletes. At Newcastle we wish to work in partnership with UKAD to promote and educate on clean sport. 2017 © UK Anti-Doping All rights reserved.

Implementation Athlete Education All Team Newcastle sports clubs will be required to assign a Clean Sport representative, ideally this will sit within the Welfare Officer role. All Team Newcastle team members are required to attend a minimum of one anti-doping workshop in the academic year. All Team Newcastle athletes will be directed to the best available online educational websites and substance checking databases. Contact Suzi Newton asap to arrange workshop Workshops The welfare officer/clean sport rep is required to attend the Clean Sport workshop at officers training, they will then liaise with Suzi Newton to organise a Clean Sport Workshop for the club. When requesting a workshop please think about venue, day, time of workshop and if there is anything in particular you want covered (e.g. supplements, medication, whereabouts, what happens in a test etc.)
