3 CALIFORNIA CASH FOR COLLEGE PLATFORM: California Dreams In Action 730 workshops, in 51 out of 58 counties 400 high schools, campuses, organizations 7 Regional Coordinating Organizations in Far North, Capitol, East Bay, Kern, Los Angeles, Inland Empire & San Diego 1000 organizers and site contacts & 1,000+ volunteers

5 New Workshop Management System Launched GUIDE TO WORKSHOP SUCCESS TRAIN/ACKNOWLEDGE FOLLOW STUDENT PROGRESS CONNECT ACTIONS WITH OUTCOMES.

6 Based on more than 35,500 web-based Student Exit Surveys submitted at workshops. More than 26,000 exit surveys submitted online, an increase of 8,000 surveys. Overall increase of 2,500 students from 2012 results. 2013 Cash for College Workshop Results

25 Follow Up Portal Comment from Cash for College Campus Organizer: We enjoyed using the online follow-up platform. It really helped us reach our students. The tools and script helped. Were looking forward to it next year!

26 Student Follow Up Calling Project *Contacted over 6,000 Students who said they did not complete the FAFSA or CA Dream Act App at workshop. *Areas using the platform - Far North, Capitol, Stockton, East Bay, San Jose, Kern, Los Angeles and the Inland Empire *Financial aid Administrators and Trained Volunteers contacted student households/cells

28 Team C4C in the IE… Thank you for allowing us to really impact FAFSA completion in the IE. We did it!!! we called all students in the database. We also called students whose paper exit surveys we had. The team helped sooooo many students even up until today. It was unbelievable how many still had not finished, had not completed because of taxes not being done, or didn't know that the deadline was today - both FAFSA and Dream Act...lots of one-on-one. 31 Cash for College Scholarship Platform 2013 Scholarship Programs * 500 Cash for College Incentive Scholarships Awarded through Commission's partnership with ECMC - Week of May 6 awarding *250-350 Performance Based Scholarships (PBS) Awarded Through Remaining MDRC/Gates Demonstration Grant. Funds provided by College Access Foundation of California *Monday April 29 target date for PBS Scholarship awarding
